LET’S MEET YOU SIR
MY NAME IS DR SALVATION ONOMROBA (P.hd)
I’m the MD/CEO
Am the MD CEO of Blissful legacy limited
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN RUNNING THIS FIRM SO FAR?
We started from the scratch, it’s been a journey of vision, we saw impossibility, we saw that through business, we can also impact lives apart from making money.
Being the MD has been mentally demanding, forcing you to think out of the traditional life.
What are those unique services you offer in your real real estate firm that can’t be find elsewhere?
Our unique niche is 1k daily, in the whole Nigeria, nobody competes with us, we are able to bring real estate to both the rich and the poorest. Through us, like in Benin city, a boy selling pure water on the street has bought land, because we break it down that paying 1k daily for nineteen months will buy him land, we have about thirteen thousand people doing that with us right now. We’re good at breaking down money, even in building plan, we have a building plan of 5k daily to build a house, and over sometime, you will become a landlord. Even though we sell outrightly, that’s where we really touch lives.
There’s a joy of this common market women on the street who never saw themselves as owning land, but now grabbing the opportunity and many of them before they completed the 19months payment plan, the cost of the land has tripled. Imagine we are selling a land for 500k in nineteen months payment plan, before you completed the payment, it has already worth 1.5m, so the day we are giving you papers for your land, your land has already increased in value, that has been our niche.
What are the challenges you faced and still facing in building this world class brand?
The first challenge of every businessman is access to fund, because you got to think of how to raise fund for the business. The Banks are not friendly with real estate business, so you have to be creative. Secondly, you have to be able to convince your clients so that they won’t see you as a fraudulent brand, because people have learnt from their past experience, because many have been duped. Real Estate is a sector that have recorded lots of fraud, so proof demands your sincerity but thank God overtime, people are now beginning to see that we have come to stay but though, we are not perfect. I tell people that it takes a short- sighted man to defraud, because if I do one business with you for 10,000. dollars and I run away, but if I do business with you for a longer time, I may benefit 100,000 dollars from you if you have a longer term plan, so fraud will not be an option.
In terms of housing challenges In Nigeria, do you think the government is doing enough to curb the situation?
Of course, we have higher housing deficit in Nigeria, even when it’s done for the few, it takes special connection and all that. If you to a more developed climate, you’ ll see housing loans made available, you can buy a house for 30 years in America, but come to Nigeria, nobody is giving you that, so you ignore it.
YOU’RE HUMANITARIAN BY NATURE JUST RECENTLY WE SAW YOUR EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM WHAT PROMPTED THAT?
The African man use power to oppress people but I use power to assist, if you have money what should you do with it, it should be to assist of course. If APC government tarred Nigerians road, it will solve many problems. We will take from the society, we should be able to give back. That’s what balances the American society, they take from the rich, and give to the poor, that’s why you see them tasking the rich, so it helps a level ground. Everybody will not be equal but it will reduce crime. In my own case, I see it as a way to reduce crime because an idle man is a devil’s work and an hungry man is an angry man. Infact, that’s the whole idea of my humanitarian platform, it was not meant to satisfied only man, it was a platform to assist many people. We have assisted many people and we even have programme for the widows. We have a lot to give them and we will keep giving more.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOUR BRAND IN THE NEXT 10 YEARS?
We should be a global brand, we want to show to the world that something good can come out of Nigeria. We’re looking at competing at competing with the best brand not just in Nigeria but in the World, we see ourselves sponsoring World cup, and other global major events. We want to have our buildings in Dubai, America, China etc…
HOW WAS GROWING UP LIKE FOR YOU?
I have a very humble days of growing, I was raised by my single mother. I attended a government primary and secondary schools, and finally went to UNIBEN.
Growing up was both challenging days and learning days for me.
IF YOU TURNED BACK TO THE HANDS OF TIME, WHAT’S THAT THING YOU HAVEN’T DONE RIGHT?
I would have given more attention to some certain courses at the University, I began to realize it as I was growing older.
WHAT’S FASHION TO YOU?
To me, fashion is a representation of your future, I use my fashion to represent my tomorrow. I could remember when I started my business, and doing recharge card, I was wearing tie, and it was unique, when I became a driver too, I was wearing tie,it was very unique, I don’t dress like who I am, but who I want to be, because way you dressed is the way you will be addressed.
